What is PDR?

What is Paintless Dent Repair? It is the process of removing dents from the back, sometimes the front panel, using tools specifically for PDR. Minor dents are removed slowly to avoid damaging factory paint.

Are all dents PDR dents? No, size, depth, and location are factors that must be carefully evaluated to determine if PDR is the correct method for repair.

Will there be paint damage? No, PDR is the only method that can be used to insure factory paint is damaged in no way. With the flexibility of today's factory paint, the success of the process is more easily achieved.

What are some of the benefits of PDR? The cost factor is a major advantage. PDR can remove a dent for $85.00 to $250.00 versus a body shop charge of $350.00 to $500.00. Time to do the repair could take 4-6 days or more, compared to PDR which can be achieved in less than an hour, depending on the dent. Also, since we are mobile, we come to your location, so less time for you to spent without a vehicle or in a rental. As mentioned before, factory paint damage is not a factor, so no plastic body fillers or primers are needed. The results are of a higher quality.

What is "no drilling"? Exactly that. Sometimes, PDR technicians can only reach the dent location through drilling holes. We believe in only using drilling as a last resort. When we encounter these situations, the customer is advised. If it is their choice to do so, after the repairs are made, any holes will be rust proofed and plugged properly.

Will the dent still be seen? No, a job done conventionally can develop noticeable scars or scratches. However, technicians performing PDR use no convential procedures. Those problems are not an issue.
